Scott D. Kaufman

Professional Background
Scott Kaufman has over 25 years of experience as a founding member of hedge funds and private equity funds focused on investing, and taking activist roles, in non-technical distressed public and private companies. With decades of experience as a partner and investment committee member of the funds and board member and interim executive of the portfolio companies, Mr. Kaufman has cultivated a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in conducting forensic analysis, an expertise in identifying and assessing potential risks, evaluating investment opportunities, implementing strategies to optimize performance, and leading companies through the complex restructuring process.

Designing and implementing effective restructuring plans, and alternative investment securities spread across the capital stack
Sat on the board of directors and acted as a range of c-suite executives, including CEO, CFO or COO, of numerous portfolio companies

Professional Background
Scott A. Sheikh has owned and operated The Sheikh Law Firm since December 2007. Straight out of law school, Scott took the unusual step of starting his own boutique law practice. The focus of this fledgling practice was to help small businesses and technology start-ups navigate the complex regulatory and legal landscapes. As a result of his proactive, efficient, and pragmatic approach to the law, his practice grew steadily over the last decade and, amongst other accomplishments, has settled numerous commercial disputes, including a real estate dispute valued at more than $40 million dollars. He has also helped clients close numerous rounds of financing, amongst the most recent involving Google (NYSE:GOOG) and SK hynix (KRX: 000660) as lead investors.
Key Qualifications
In 2019 Scott was appointed interim CEO and General Counsel of one of his biggest clients, a technology-focused logistics and delivery company with 3 offices, 12 locations, and 800 employees distributed across California, Texas, and Illinois
Since successfully navigating the company through a contentious Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, Scott has taken part in the building and restructuring of numerous businesses from the ground up, taking on roles including CEO, COO, CFO and General Counsel
